We raise just one or two litters of longhaired cream Dachshund puppies per year on a small farm in rural Lincoln, CA. Our dogs dig in real dirt, romp with loud children, and are the very best cuddlers. We selectively decide on homes for our puppies, and require a "right of first refusal" for placements, which means none of our babies will ever end up in a shelter.
Our Program
Importance of Breed Standard
While we are not an active show home, we have showed our dogs in the past and believe that in order to preserve the integrity and health of purebred dogs, it is essential to breed toward the breed standard. This means taking into account temperament, bone, bite, topline, angulation, etc. when making breeding choices, to improve on future generations wherever possible. Our dogs come from proven pedigrees, and we believe the quality shows. All our breeding dogs have completed their OFAs and have also done DNA testing.
Doxies come in 3 coat varieties: smooth, wired, and long-coated. We have only the miniature longhaired variety in our program, and they require just mild grooming. This isn't an extensive care routine however, and can easily be managed at home with a slicker brush, metal comb, and some small clippers for sensitive areas.

About Us
We are the Grady Family. We are a small hobby breeder in Lincoln, CA. We strive to have a small number of healthy, quality puppies available for families a few times a year. We have been breeding for about 8 years now, and there is always more to learn. Our litters are raised in our living room and are handled by us and our children. We utilize early neurological stimulation for the first 16 days with our newborn puppies. This has shown to help later in life with stress recovery and temperament stability. We welcome questions and encourage you to reach out. We will NEVER link you to other pages besides our Good Dog account to send a deposit. Scammers are everywhere, so be vigilant!
